This was a light little Halloween-themed read for the season. It's based in Pumpkin Hollow, so I always enjoy that.
I will admit that there were two things that made this less wonderful than these books usually are (in my opinion). The first was that the author clearly changed the murdered character's name after-the-fact, but it wasn't consistently changed throughout. That's a minor thing, but it did cause me to stop a few times and think.
The second was that I really didn't expect the killer to be who it was. Normally, I think that's a wonderful thing, but it just felt odd this time around. It felt like it really came from left field for me.
However, I still loved the book (and I love the series), so I'll be reading the future books and all the past ones that I haven't yet gotten around to reading. I recommend these books to anyone who likes themed cozies.
