This was definitely like reading a Hallmark movie.

I picked this book up at a thrift store. It's not really my usual genre, but I do love Christmas, and I love holiday themed books, so I thought that I'd give it a try.

I didn't adore it, and I didn't hate it. Of course, I have to also take into account that, as I said, this wasn't quite my normal taste in books, so there has to be a little wiggle room to my judgement.

I will say that the book is very sweet (saccharine, even), and it's definitely spiritual. It's a very feel-good book, and it's full of all the fluffiness that you may desire. There were a few parts that made me teary-eyed, I admit.

I could see myself occasionally listening to or reading another of these books, if I wanted to indulge in a little Hallmark experience. However, you should definitely know, going into this, that it's very much what you would expect of a Hallmark holiday movie in book form.
