I stayed up far later than I meant to reading this book.
I bought the book because I saw it somewhere as a suggestion for people looking for cute, sweet little Christmas stories. That is, of course, exactly what I wanted (and always want).
I did read some other reviews of the book, but the biggest complaint that anyone seemed to have was that the book was cliché in some places. Now, I don't know about that particular person, but when I read a cozy little Christmas story, I assume that it's going to be loaded with cliché moments. That's part of the comfortable appeal of these kinds of books.
That being said, I certainly won't lie to you and tell you that this book isn't cliché. It's absolutely loaded down with every feel-good thing you could begin to expect from a novel that promises some small-town charm and a few Christmas miracles.
The writing is simple, and it flows very well. It's one of those books where you move through the chapters like potato chips in a bag. Once you get going, it's easy to just keep going and convince yourself, constantly, that you'll just have one more. Eventually, of course, you're so close to the end that you convince yourself that you may as well finish because there's no use putting the book down until later.
I'd recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a light, feel-good read with a side of Christmas cheer.
Here is the link to where you can find the book. I am not being paid for this; I am simply providing you with quick and easy access to the book!
