I DNFed this book the first time that I tried to read it. I love cozy mysteries, and I really love when they're holiday themed. Throw in a granny and a couple of cats, and you have everything I've loved about previous cozies.
I couldn't connect with the characters in this one, though, the first time I read it.
I picked it up, some time later, and I finally finished it. My final opinion is that it's certainly not the best cozy that I've ever read, but it's not the worst.
The writing is good, the dialogue is believable, and the characters are not awful. The story does drag a little, though, and I found it hard to stick with at times.
I might add the other books in the series to my "to read" pile for the future, if they were free on Kindle Unlimited, but I can't really say that I would purchase them.
