I'm slowly making my way through this whole series. I feel like nearly everything I've said before about these books still applies here. I love the way the stories are narrated. I love how they're very "slice-of-life," while also including these great mysteries. The narrator is absolutely perfect for these books, and I think she really kicks my love of Kinsey Millhone into high gear. If I read the books myself (without the audiobook format, I mean to say), I think I would still imagine her voice. I'm almost afraid to look ahead, honestly, to check narrators for the other books. I wouldn't be too pleased if someone else took over partway through the series.
Spoiler alert for the narrator situation -- I looked ahead. Apparently "O" is where the narrator changes to someone different. I will try not to make any snap judgements, and I'll try not to judge ahead of time. I hope that I will like the new narrator as much as I love the current one.
Back to the book at hand, I didn't figure out who the killer is, but that's not unusual. I hardly ever figure out the killer in books ahead of time. I have to admit, though, that these are the kinds of books that will have me daydreaming that I could be a P.I.
As always, and I hope this continues throughout the rest of the series, I highly recommend these books to mystery lovers!
I'm including the link, in case you'd like to find the book, but I make nothing from the sales of these books.
