I've seen the movie for this one a few times, and it's very good. However, as with most books that are made into movies, I feel like the book offers a great deal more than the movie.

Of course, when you're reading this book, you can pretty easily figure out why it is that they had to leave certain things out of the movie. There are things that we accept in books that, realistically, I don't think people would be able to stand seeing as it played out on screen. I also feel like the movies soften Hannibal's character a little, which is appreciated on the screen. However, he is a fascinating character in both his written and film depictions. This is the second time that I've read this book. I have a pretty poor memory, so I can reread books every few years and, honestly, it's as though I've never read them before. You can decide, for yourself, if that's a blessing or a curse.

This book was exceptional (the first and second time around)! I can't say if I loved it more or less than The Silence of the Lambs, because they're both quite different. I can definitely say, though, that I recommend it to anyone.

I receive nothing from the sales of this book, but I'm including the link below.
