I got this book as a freebie from one of the ebook mailing lists that I follow. In addition, I came across the fact that the author provides the audiobook on YouTube.

I decided to listen to the audiobook, since I do love cozy mysteries, and there are very few of them to be listened to through the library or KU.

My only complaint about the audiobook on YouTube was that every time I opened it, I had to find the spot that I was at the last time I listened. That, of course, had nothing to do with the author and, therefore, is not something that I would factor into the point system of a review. It's simply something I note for those who may go and listen to the book. Try not to get frustrated, and be sure to keep track of where you are!

What I loved about the audiobook was the narrator. She had a wonderful voice, and she reminded me very much of Angela Lansbury. She read very slowly and, for a while, I was able to speed up the playback rate, but then my YouTube started to freeze when I did that, so I simply listened to her at regular speed.

None of these things will deter me from listening to the other book in the series.

This was a very cute cozy mystery. I love the main character and her best friend, and I love the entire theme of these older ladies being amateur sleuths. The book was well-written, the dialogue was believable, and the story was interesting. I did guess the killer ahead of time, but that didn't detract from my enjoyment of the story at all.

I highly recommend this to my fellow cozy readers!
