Lord of the Flies

It took me a year to finish this book. The concept behind the book was interesting to me (getting marooned on an island and having to survive), but I didn't enjoy the writing style at all. In addition, I found the ending to be profoundly disappointing.

I know that people say this is a classic, and some say it's one of the greatest books ever written, but I can honestly say that it just didn't turn out to be such for me.
