I decided to stop trying to force myself through the latter half of this one, when I decided that I really didn't care how it ended, and I wasn't planning on reading any other books in the series.
As I have often said of DNFs, there is nothing fundamentally wrong with this book, but it wasn't the right book for me.
This book is well-written and, at first glance, it should be perfect for me. It's themed, and it's a cozy mystery. It combines Christmas and Halloween. What else could I possibly ask for in a cozy mystery?
However, I'm not really sure what the problem was, but I just couldn't find myself truly caring about this book or its characters. I think, believe it or not, that the book was a bit TOO themed for me. At any rate, it didn't work for me, but I could see other people really enjoying it.
