I read most of this book. In the end, though, I DNFed it.
I was super excited about this book. I love Burnham, so I couldn't wait to read it. I also love Alice in Wonderland, and I was excited about the parallels that might be drawn between the two.
There is nothing fundamentally wrong with this book. The dialogue isn't bad, it's well-written, and it's clearly been edited for grammar. However, the plot leaves A LOT to be desired.
The plot is, essentially, Burnham waiting for Discovery to reach her. She's waiting...and waiting...and waiting...and waiting. You get the picture. Meanwhile, I was also waiting for something to happen. Mostly, I was constantly fighting falling asleep because nothing really happened. There wasn't really anything here that was compelling enough to keep me reading. I finally shelved this one.
I'm including the link here, in case anyone is interested. I receive nothing from the sales of this book.
