The Box-Car Children

I read this book every few years, at least. It was one of my favorite books as a child, and I still love it.

I'm one of those adults that reads children's books and YA books. Just like watching the same old shows over and over (that I've already seen), I feel like rereading some of these books is a way to just really relax with what I read.

I know they are pleasant. I know that I'll enjoy them. I know that I won't have to pay too much attention, nothing shocking (and unwanted) will happen, and if my mind wanders, I know that I'll still be able to follow the story.

That being said, I did pick up a set of these in Kindle (for a very low price), so I'm going to be reading some of the others in the series. That should be fun, since I have never read beyond the first book. Still, I had to revisit this classic before reading any of the ones to come.

I recommend this for those who loved it and want to revisit a piece of their childhood. I also recommend it to those who are looking for something fun to read with their children.
