I have been a huge fan of these books since I somewhat "accidentally" bought the almost the whole set (for fifty cents a piece) at a library book sale just before the pandemic started. (I had no idea if I'd like them or not, but I thought that I'd at least give them a try. I'm really glad that I did!)

I love the characters in these books. I love that they keep something of a running narrative so that you can return to a comfortable place full of comfortable and well-known people.

That being said, this was my least favorite of these books so far. I felt like I couldn't get into the book in the beginning. There was something about this one that just wasn't that compelling at the start. It felt like it was a little slow-moving from there onward. Toward the end, things picked up, and I got very involved in the story. It ended well, and I enjoyed the ending; I simply found it difficult to get into this particular book. I'm hoping that's not some indication of what to expect in the future novels of the series. Still, even though it wasn't as wonderful as the others, I enjoyed it and would recommend it to those who are fans of the series.

I'm including the link for this book, though I do not receive any financial benefit for the sales of this book.
