The Whispered Word (A Secret, Book, and Scone Society Novel Book 2)

It took me until about the 50% mark on this one to finally really get into the story. I don't know what it was, but I couldn't get into it. I think the pace really felt too slow to me, or maybe the mystery took too long to be revealed. Once I hit that point, though, I really got into the book.

I enjoyed the way this mystery played out, and I do have the next one in the series ready to go when I've read a few other books to cleanse my palette. I do recommend this book, but I would also say that you shouldn't let yourself get too annoyed if you find that it's slow for the first half.
