I got this book when it was offered as a freebie in one of the many mailing lists that I subscribe to for free and reduced price eBooks.

This was super cute! It was a fantasy/faerie tale, as the title implies, and it followed the basic recipe for every fantasy ever (pretty much). It definitely had notes and hints of other fantasies that I've read before (I got some strong The Lord of the Rings vibes while reading.)

There are enchantments and spells galore in this little children's story. There's a whole new faerie world. There are talking objects, witches, fairies, and little people that, personally, I found to be reminiscent of a cross between hobbits and the sprite from Rainbow Brite. There's a quest, and a group of somewhat mismatched friends. I'm telling you, all the pieces are there.

I read this as a bedtime story, and I enjoyed it. I always like to have something for children in my "currently reading" collection for bedtime, and this was a great choice. I'm including the link below, just in case you want to check it out, but I receive nothing from the sales of the book.
