I'm one of those people who is definitely drawn to books because of their covers. I'd been eyeing this book in the library for a while. It was on a front display, and I thought it was a beautiful cover. I finally grabbed it up on one of my latest trips to the library.
I returned the book not too many days after I'd grabbed it.
I wish that I could say that I returned it because it was so good that I powered through it, unable to put it down. However, that's not the case at all. I ended up DNFing the book.
It's beautifully written (as in the words are very well-selected, and it sounds very poetic), and there is something intriguing about the premise, but the book falls flat after the synopsis (at least for me). From the start, almost, it was clear what was going to happen. I'm not one that really minds that (and I don't care if you "spoil" things for me), but the problem was that I realized that I didn't care to read on through the obvious plot.
At any rate, I could see how some people may love this book, but it wasn't going to be the right book for me. I am including the link below, in case you want to give it a try. As always, I receive nothing from the sales of this book.
